Yesterday’ snow has melted, but the cold temperatures remain. Crocus have bloomed on schedule. What a delightful find.
I received these wonderful scrapbook materials from Jessica at Noguchi Designs today. I was the winner of her giveaway during the 2014 Grow You Blog Party. Thank you Jessica.
Quilt Doodle Design is hosting another BOM for 2014. Click here to check it out. I just joined, so yesterday I made the block for January. I rounded the noses a bit and added one orange nose, instead of a carrot
Today I made February’s block – Cozy Cottage. Here is a picture of all the squares laid out, and then sewn together. I modified this block by using only squares for the cottage. I also added a cat.
Ahhh! I noticed after I posted this that the window is in the wrong place. So this morning I took the block apart and redid it. Seams not quite matched up in a few spots. Oh well. It’s been a beautiful morning.
My partner has received her mug rugs from the Quilting Gallery mug rug olympic swap, so I can now post pictures. These were designed by Amanda from The Patchsmith for this swap.
Today was a long day. Up early to take my daughter to the hospital for her first remicade treatment for chron’s. I did meet another parent and her son. They share with us and now I am very hopeful that my daughter will start gaining weight.
I was very tired but not ready for bed, so I made seven book markers from cut up confetti scraps. Here is a picture of two of them. I think they turned out well.
First I want to thank Vickie over at 2 Bags Full for hosting this party. A complete list of blogging participants can be found here. Although the giveaways end today, Vickie will still have the list available so we can continue to make new friends.
My husband showed me how to formulate a random generator on the calculator based on the number of comments. (adjustments made for repeats and my replies. Total of 73)
The number was 29. The winner is Judy Cooper!
Congratulations Judy! Thanks to all the wonderful people who commented or followed my blog. I am having lots of fun meeting all of you. Happy Blogging!
